White Sox Stymie Cleveland, Take 4-1 Win
The Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Indians, 4-1, at Progressive Field. Starting pitcher Lucas Giolito was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The White Sox, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
The result might have been different for Chicago, had it not been for Yoan Moncada. The third baseman produced a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 1-0. For the game, Moncada had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
“We’ll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow,” Moncada said.
