Twins Cuff Indians, 13-1
The Minnesota Twins defeated the Cleveland Indians, 13-1, at Target Field. Minnesota first baseman Miguel Sano had a superb performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. The Indians drop to 4-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2020 season.
With Minnesota leading 8-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Sano came up to bat against Cleveland pitcher James Hoyt. Sano hit a slider to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Twins on top, 12-1.
“I had a good game,” said Sano. “Winning makes it even better.”
