Indians Turn Back Minnesota, 4-3
Cleveland right-hander Zach Plesac pitched his team to victory over the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. The final score was 4-3. Cleveland is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 13 games.
Cleveland used a well-time hit by Cesar Hernandez to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Indians ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
“Zach — his tempo and rhythm were good,” said Indians manager Kevin Gamin. “He was the key to us winning.”
