I finished jury duty in a civil trial today, so I found myself working from home this afternoon. This gave me the chance to make a couple calls to my senators, something I haven’t done in a while. I asked my senators in today’s calls to get rid of the filibuster, an outdated and racist political weapon which is currently preventing our government from passing key legislation supported by the majority of Americans.

I’m calling to recommend Senator Sherrod Brown support abolishing the Senate filibuster so Congress can break free from obstruction and gridlock and enact important legislation needed to secure our democracy.
