I’ve collected quite a few stickers recently. What better way to display them than on my devices?
I started with my MacBook Pro. I didn’t want to make it hard to remove the stickers later on if I wanted to change them out or, when the time comes, sell my MacBook for an newer model, so I first wanted a “blank canvas” I could use. Dbrand came to the rescue with a “Kind of Purple” skin for the top of laptop. It’s a great color on its own, plus it will help keep my laptop case free of blemishes.
I started with this sticker from Mystery Science Theater 3000. I’ve contributed to the various Kickstarters which MST3K has held in order to produce seasons 11-13 of the show. Season 13 also led to the premiere of the Gizmoplex, MST3K’s own home for all of their episodes, both classic and current. I’m proud to show that I’m a founding member!
One of the features of MST3K is “Intermission sign”, which, just like drum corps, usually takes place in the middle of the show. It seemed fitting that I put my own intermission sign in the middle of my tableau, in this case, the logo for Intermission Drum and Bugle Corps.
Speaking of intermission at drum corps shows, a classic intermission meal is the hot dog. Hot dogs are popular in Cleveland, as well, thanks to the Sugardale Hot Dog Derby race which takes place during each Cleveland Guardians home game. I gave the hot dogs a seat at the game to race for, putting the dogs in their final order of finish for 2023.
