I remember seeing a social media post some time ago, either on Twitter or Mastodon, which had a great sentiment. Basically, the poster remarked that they wanted to go to the zoo. They then realized that, unlike when they were a kid, they could just GO to the zoo. They could just EAT the ice cream cone. There were no adults to tell them they couldn’t because THEY were the adult. They could do these things and enjoy them. Nobody could say no.
Let’s vow to eat that cookie when we want it. And let’s enjoy it.
