What you see is the display of my M1 13 inch MacBook Pro. Said display is in the process of dying.
This leaves me with a few options:
- Time to get a new laptop!
- I spent a lot of money on this laptop. Let’s see if I can replace the screen.
- Screens aren’t cheap, either. What about eBay?
- Those screens look…fake. Maybe it’s time to go all iPad for my portable computing needs?
I keep bouncing between these options without coming to a decision. Any thoughts?
Not long to go I’m afraid! That happened to my wife’s laptop and it became unusable not long after.
In the end, we went for new but not the latest model. I guess that’s the apple tax. My laptop is a 2015 dell xps13 which is running better than ever after putting Linux mint on it
There’s a local place that sells used PCs and Macs. I’m going to swing by over the weekend and see what options they have. This MacBook has a 2 TB SSD and 16 GB of memory and has been a rock star up to this point, so I’d like to keep it going if possible. It just might call for some creativitity on my part.
