If you know me at all, you know that I am a huge proponent of properly backing up our data. We all have stories of accidentally deleting or overwriting important files or photos or a hard drive failing, leading to the loss of years of important memories or information.
My wife, Rachel Gamin, is presenting Preserving Digital Memories tonight at 6:30 PM Eastern at the Medina County District Library. Rachel will talk about the steps you can take ensure that your data is protected from loss. Remember, you’ve gotta back it up to get it back.
From the library website:
Have you recently digitized your family photos, videos, or other memorabilia? Getting your most valuable memories on to a flash drive is a great first step, but it’s also important to get them into appropriate long-term storage! This class will show you what you can do with those digital files to share them with others and make sure that they stay safe and secure for years to come by using the 3-2-1- backup system.
You can register until an hour before the start of the event. There are still seats remaining, so come check it out!
UPDATE – There is a Zoom link if you’d like to attend virtually!
