2025 DCI Little Rock Thoughts

I caught the DCI Little Rock show on FloMarching last Saturday. After each performance, I posted my thoughts on social media. I’ve collected those thoughts here as this was my first viewing of these corps.

Memphis Blues: Welcome to Open Class! Great to have the legacy of the Memphis Blues Brass Band on the field. Also nice you took advantage of Rhapsody In Blue going public domain this year.

Zephyrus: Welcome to Open Class! You’ve got the horses in the horn line, so be sure to showcase them more throughout the show, especially as you build endurance through the season.

Spartans: Another powerful show from the perennial Open Class champs. Looking forward to their move to World Class after this hybrid season.

Genesis: Your opening brass hit did its job as my cat woke up in shock from the volume.

Spirit of Atlanta: There is a lot of fun for the fans and performers in this show. Just need to clean it up and refine the design.

Music City: A very ambitious program combined with the best corps you’ve fielded equals a finalist caliber ensemble. It’s going to be an exciting summer for you.

Carolina Crown: Nope. That’s not the ending. No way. Fine, I’ll wait until San Antonio. Or Allentown. Whatever it takes.

Phantom Regiment: An ethereal feel to this show evocative of Into The Light. Closer also gives 2018 SCV vibes, a la JD Shaw. Get that horn book cleaned up and look out.
