Another quality start leading to a combined shutout, and my offense continues to plate runs. I’ve matched my best record so far this season at 2 games over .500 and appear to be on a hot streak with 3 straight wins. On to the next series!
Another quality start from my starters, this time Aaron Civale, while Josh Naylor, who struggled up to this game, unleashes and goes 3-5 with a homer. His was one of two homers in the 7th to lock up the game for me.
THAT IS MORE LIKE IT!!! Complete game victory by Shane Bieber, while Jose Ramierz sends two over the wall and the offense overall lets loose.
What’s the use of putting up a 5 spot in the 8th to tie up the game if my defense and bullpen is going to just hand over the game in the bottom half of the inning? I think we’re starting to see the weaknesses Cleveland has thanks to the moves the previous GM and… Continue reading 2021 COVID-19 Season: Cleveland At Chicago – 4/12/21
Oh, oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh my God. Holy mother of God. Oh, oh, oh, oh God.
Zach Plesac made 3 bad pitches out of 95. All three of them were solo home runs. Regardless, my hitters could manage only one extra base hit, a double, and were shut out as a result. Cleveland is now 4-3 on the season and looks to take this 3 game series tomorrow from Detroit.
I almost had my first complete game this season. Aaron Civale went 8, striking out 10, and I had him start the 9th, but he gave up two straight hits, so I had Emmanuel Clase finish things off as it wasn’t a save situation. The bats were hot as well, with 8 runs off of… Continue reading 2021 COVID-19 Season: Cleveland Vs Detroit – 4/9/21
All of a sudden, my starters are dominant. Triston McKenzie throws 7.1 innings of shutout baseball and the bullpen barely breaks a sweat to finish it out, while my batters post a 5 spot in the 5th and don’t look back. It’s early, but Cleveland and KC are now tied for first in the AL… Continue reading 2021 COVID-19 Season: Cleveland Vs Kansas City – 4/5/21
A 7 hit shutout performance from Zach Plesac, and the bullpen only made one mistake, giving up a solo shot home run. I finish this series on top and bring the team home for our home opener.
I came back to tie the game twice. One swing in the bottom of the 9th and it didn’t matter. Pitching in the early season isn’t looking too good.
