I needed something relatively light after my previous heavy Porter. This fit the bill, but it also was full of flavor.
I was surprised at how bold this porter was thanks to the roasted malts in this brew. It’s a flavor that lasts a while on the pallet.
Yes, I’m having it again. Yes, it counts because this is the bottle, not the draft. Yes, I am watching MST3K’s riff of The Million Eyes of Sumuru while enjoying this beer.
My two favorite beers are Southern Tier Halloween beers – Warlock and this one, Pumking.
If a Stone brew isn’t hoppy and bitter, is it really a Stone brew?
The last beer in the BBQ Extravaganza mini tour. Good thing I didn’t have this with the other two last week. Another powerful brew, the most bourbon-y of them all.
Another strong brew thanks to the whiskey barrel aging. As you can see, I’m drinking water like a fish because this is a potent and flavorful brew.
The first of THREE beers on a Winking Lizard mini tour. This one isn’t even the strongest, so I’m definitely taking my time, drinking some water afterwards, and getting some food in my stomach. Totally worth it.
What…what have I gotten myself into?
This is an excellent brew to drink with steak. Easy to drink and blends well with my dinner.
