I wanted something light after the heavy stout I just drank. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the sour flavor of this ale.
Peanut butter. Hazelnut. Chocolate cake. Stout. I mean, HOW DO I NOT?!?
All I need is a campfire and some scary stories to go with this Spooky Szn beer.
I’m not sure if I’m drinking this for the citrus flavors, the 7.5% ABV, or both.
From left to right: Stone Hazy IPA, Bell’s Rind Over Matter Wheat Ale, Great Lakes Brewing Company Oktoberfest, and Thirsty Dog Barktoberfest.
I was surprised at how light this beer’s flavor is. I was expecting a more tangy hit to my taste buds, but the mango is very easy and pleasant.
My first impression was that the flavor reminded me of a lemon drop. That was a good thing.
The grapefruit flavor is incredible and pleasant. This one is easy to down quickly, though I did take my time and savor it.
I haven’t had a strong dark beer in a while, and the vanilla flavoring mixed with the porter texture is an excellent experience.
Sticking with the theme. This one is lighter than the Thirsty Dog, though the spices still come through.
