Tigers Rally For Late Win Over Indians
Fans who gathered at Progressive Field saw a good contest between the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians.
Tigers center fielder Victor Reyes put his stamp on his team’s 6-4 win over the Cleveland Indians. Reyes went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for Detroit in the contest. John Schreiber came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.
Detroit used a clutch hit from Cameron Maybin to get the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tigers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
“We’ll build on this win,” said Maybin.
Detroit is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 1st in 3 games.
