I arrived yesterday at the OIPA state championships as a volunteer for the organization’s social media team.
I left today as the photographer of the event, paid for my work.
This is my first paid gig as a photographer, and it was an unexpected and wonderful surprise that I was granted this opportunity.
Thank you to Nikki Ross, Lauren Merz-Holloway, Chad Clum, and the rest of the OIPA board for putting your faith in my skills and the chance to capture the incredible performances and emotions of all of the color guards, indoor percussion ensembles, and indoor winds ensembles who performed this weekend.
