Carolina Crown is most notable for their stellar brass lines, having won the Jim Ott Award 8 Times in the past 14 seasons. In fact, the corps has won every caption in DCI World Class…except one.
That may change soon. The team of Mike Jackson and Kevin Shah came to Crown in 2023 and produced immediate results, with the percussion placing in the top 3 for their caption and helping bring the corps back into medaling for the first time since 2017. It’s only one season, but the future is looking bright for Crown.
