As I’m between performances with Bloo Alumni, I thought it would be fun to look back at our 4th of July performance at the William McKinnley monument in Canton, Ohio. We performed selections from our field show, as well as selections with the competitive corps.
This first video features the first two parts of our show. Part one is a medley of Creep (2011) and The Boxer (2008), both of which have become staples of the Bluecoats’ encore performances at shows in recent years. Part two is made up a drum solo based on Caravan (1990, 2005) and Autumn Leaves (1987, 1988, 1998)
The next video has the alumni and competitive corps performing together on the Bluecoats brass warmup, World Without Pants.
We return to Autumn Leaves, which is the Bluecoats corps song. This is the version performed by the corps at encores.
Finally, a little fireworks for the Fourth as the combined corps performs the 1812 Overture.
Of course, we then got to enjoy the fireworks show as only Bloo can.
